HORIZON ALUMNI was organized in 1977 to provide encouragement
and support to former and current residents and clients of the Horizon Services
programs, namely, Chrysalis, Cronin House, Horizon South, and Mandana. An important
part of that support is to demonstrate that it is possible to have fun in recovery,
and to provide opportunities to do that.
Our own experience was that after going through treatment
programs we needed a support group. We could not associate with old friends and
did not know how to find new ones, aside from those we might make in 12-step meetings.
Horizon Alumni provides an ongoing support group. We organize
events throughout the year at which newly recovering residents and clients, graduates,
and alumni members, along with their families, can have fun clean and sober. Our
involvement in the planning and carrying out of these activities helps keep us
clean and sober as well.
Once you have been clean and sober for 30 days and are
actively involved in the recovery process, you are an associate member of the
Alumni. Full membership status is possible after three months of continuous sobriety.
Payment of the $30.00 yearly dues gives one voting status. Payment of dues can
be made in installments. The money is used to help fund our activities.
We need you to help keep the Alumni going. Without new
members, the Alumni will become stagnant and eventually will die. We need new
ideas and energy. We urge you to continue your recovery with us.

COME TO THE NEXT BUSINESS MEETING – THEY ARE HELD ON THE FIRST SUNDAY OF
EACH MONTH AT CRONIN HOUSE. GET INVOLVED AND GIVE BACK.
