Do you need help now?
If you need immediate assistance due to intoxication,
please call one of the locations below. These facilities provide a place for you
to get sober and can refer you to continuing services:
Alameda County - Call Cherry Hill
Detox and Sobering Station at 866-866-7496. This is a co-ed facility.
San Mateo County - Call Palm Avenue Detox
at (650)513-6500. This is a co-ed facility.
Santa Clara County - In this County, if you need detox services
between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm you must call the County operated Gateway Program
for assistance. Their number is 1-800-488-9919.
HSI does have a men’s only detox program, Horizon
South that can be accessed after hours and on weekends by calling (408)283-8555.
Women's detox services in Santa Clara County are available through the Pathways
program.

If you want help getting on the path to recovery, we urge
you to call one of the following:
Alameda County
Cronin House 510-784-5874. Cronin House is a 40-bed
residential primary care program for men and women recovering from alcohol or
other drug addiction. Co-ed 45 days.
Chrysalis 510-450-1190.
Chrysalis is a 26-bed, community based residential program for women recovering
from addiction to alcohol or other drugs. 3 to 6 months. Women only.
Santa Clara County
Horizon South (408)283-8555 Horizon South offers
a 31 bed residential program for men. It is designed to provide a phased continuum
of services for those entering the ongoing recovery process. Men only. Long term.

If you need assistance for yourself or for helping your
child with a substance abuse problem please call Project
Eden at (510) 247-8200. If they are not able to serve your need they will
have the resources to refer you.
