About Derya
Derya Özeş is a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the Chief Program Officer at Horizon Treatment Services. Her leadership journey began 18 years ago in pharmaceuticals, where her work in cancer research led her to witness the ripple effects of unaddressed mental health needs on individuals, families, and communities. That experience moved her into behavioral health leadership. She has served as Director, Director of Operations, and Regional Director over residential programs treating eating disorders, suicidal ideation, personality disorders, substance use disorders, and trauma, and has overseen the operations, fiscal health, strategy, and growth of 70 Bay Area school, community, and county-based therapy centers.
